Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

I made three loaves tonight (here are two). I used a mini tripod and my new remote shutter release. For those of you who have any interest in photography, the shutter speed on this shot was one second (very much requiring a tripod). I was able to take this picture without touching the camera (thus no camera shake).

New Pictures

I went to an Apple Festival on Saturday, and here is the fruit of my camera. I also stopped by a local orchard for more pictures after getting back with my friends. The weather was P.E.R.F.E.C.T. - sunny and cool. What a wonderful fall day it was!

Oh Boy These Look So Good

I skimmed the recent Martha Stewart Living magazine at the library today and found a recipe for Pumpkin Pancakes. I am craving them! I want to try! But not until a Saturday that affords me a good long workout afterwards. Photo from marthastewart.com.

Keeping with the pumpkin theme, I am excited to make Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread again this fall or around Thanksgiving (this is my dessert link to the left). It has been a hit at various functions in the past, and a bit of cream cheese spread on a slice makes for a decadent blend of flavors.

Winning Weekend

My dad and Micah have continued to compete in rally trials, and this past weekend, they secured their Advanced Title (2nd of 3 levels of competition for Rally) with a qualifying score and they won 2nd place. On Saturday, they went on to get the first of three legs of the Excellent level, taking first place for the day. Yay for Dad and Micah! Two more legs to go with Excellent and the Rally competing will be complete. My mom has started to show Asher in confirmation and he will be eligible for agility once he is a year old (December).



And just for fun, here is an old picture of Micah practicing agility in the backyard. His two back feet just seem to be floating along with the rest of him.


And best of all, I have a new nephew :-). I enjoyed Jared's post (pics here) about his new son, Elias, and I'm excited for this new life.
