Photo Quiz #1!

Here are a couple photos I took tonight. Can you guess what these two pictures are? Post your guesses and I'll reveal the answer later on.

The second one looks like Grape Nuts waiting to be eaten. First one is tougher, is it a strainer? Auntie Chris

So many possibilities. but only one correct answer... err, two correct answers. One per.

First Photo: A grease/food trap for the kitchen sink drain. Or maybe a pot holder.

Second Photo: I'm going with Grape Nuts, too. Mostly because of your earlier post about yogurt prices.

Your new camera rocks, by the way. Love the detail in this microshots. You really like playing with depth of field!

I'm not sure about the first picture, though I would swear that I've seen something like that before. I think in my mom's house. It has to be some kind of strainer.

As for the second, I agree with the masses that it's Grape Nuts.

I say the first one is a zipper up close? Or maybe a basket. I say that because of the two tone at the top....and because Anne and Greg (Mr. Cerbus) say so. Also, the second COULD be GrapeNuts but.....how about granola? Cool pics and I'm jealous of your camera! :o)

Hey Alicia!
I have to agree with the earlier comments that the bottom picture is either grape nuts or maybe some kind of crumble topping.
The first picture . . . hmmm, it looks shiny (like plastic? or maybe metal) and kind of convex (or is that just the picture?) and knowing you to assume it is some kind of kitchen utensil would not be off. So where does that leave me . . . ? Ha ha ha, just where I started. Yes, I would have to second other people and say it's probably a strainer.
