If you like to cook, what are your top 10 (or top 5) cooking ingredients? Mine are as follows: 1. Balsamic vinegar 2. Limes/Lemons 3. Onions/Shallots 4. Kosher salt 5. Garlic 6. Parmesan Cheese 7. Cilantro 8. Butter 9. Chocolate 10. Coffee
This is difficult... 1) Olive oil 2) Fresh or roasted garlic 3) Onions 4) Diced tomatoes 5) Beans, especially black beans 6) Kosher salt/fresh pepper 7) Red, Yellow & Green bell peppers (yea Aldi for making these affordable!) 8) Parsley 9) Cilantro 10) Parmesan
Help me with the balsalmic vinegar thing, people. I don't get it. I do like red-wine vinegar a lot, but I haven't used it too much lately--more often on summer salads.
