Wow, your family must have a tremondous amount of patience to be stuffed in a car for over a week, espically with two pups. Hopefully they will have clear sailing from here to the great northwesst...

Sweet sorrow...
Looking at the dogs reminds me of the odd camaraderie dog owners have at rest areas. I had never talked much to people at rest areas until I had a dog to walk in the Pet Area. :-)
Your parents will have many interesting conversations and sights cross country, I'm sure.
